British English vs American English

i thought of posting this so as you can know the differnce between them,and what you are using .

I`ll post you these differences but it gonna take me time to do it,i just hope you will learn something from them


Prepositions

BrE>stay AT home
AmE>stay home



BrE>he will write TO me a letter soon
AmE>he will write me a letter soon


BrE>Paul goes swimming AT the weekends.
AmE>Paul goes swimming ON the weekends.


BrE> tom is IN the baseball team.
AmE> Tom is On the baseball team.


BrE> Harry lives In this street.
AmE> Harry lives ON this street.

BrE> This is different FROM/ To what i had expected.
AmE>This is different FROM/ THAN what i had expected.


BrE> He will meet Sara tonight.
AmE> He will meet WITH Sara tonight.

the british accent makes you feel like you are talking to robot or something like that but american accent rocks
